Our collaboration with VicPol and BCO for homelessness in Boroondara
Thanks to Steve for this short article on our collaboration with Victoria Police in Boorondara as well as Boroondara Community Outreach.  We will add some photos in coming bulletins but for the meanwhile learn what it's about. Interesting stats in their

Did you know that there are a significant number of people living in poverty along with rough sleepers in Boroondara? That what we see is just the tip of the iceberg? According to the Council To Homeless Persons, it is just 7% of the actual number!

We are working with Boroondara Police and Boroondara Community Outreach to provide immediate emergency meals to homeless and residents in need.

In pilot is an initiative where patrol vehicles carry and distribute temporary emergency food and hygiene packs. These provide an immediate stop gap measure until people can engage with support organisations such as Camcare, The Salvation Army and Boroondarah Community Outreach.

Boroondarah Community Outreach provide toiletries and non-perishable groceries that do not require cooking, and Canterbury Rotary supplies our FORaMEAL packs for those with basic cooking facilities.
